I Doubt The Authenticity Of The Video- Kofi Adams On Mahama's Money Sharing Video

2016 Campaign Coordinator of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Adams claims there is nothing wrong if indeed President John Dramani Mahama gave out monies to some traders during his campaign tour.

Biblically he said the President’s gesture was godly and backed that by saying “It is more blessed to give than to receive,” Kofi Adams quoted Acts 20:35.

Mr Adams was commenting on a video footage in which President Mahama is seen standing in his open-top vehicle giving out what looked like money to market women at Abossey Okai during his campaign tour there.

The video which has gone viral was obviously shot with a phone by someone who seemed to have been monitoring proceedings from the balcony of a storey building.

But the NDC’s National Youth Organiser in an interview on NEAT FM’s morning show dubbed 'Ghana Montie' said the video has been doctored to tarnish the President’s reputation.

“I doubt the authenticity of the video. And I doubt that what the President gave out was money,” he said.

According to him “The President in the video pointed to one particular person to give out the gift. He might have done that for a reason. The President is compassionate and a giver. I don’t see anything absolutely wrong about that. There is goodness in giving just like how others are giving ‘waakye and koko’”.
