NDC Manifesto Launch Was Just A "Funfair" . . .An Opportunity For Mahama To Showcase His Dancing Skills - Atik

Atik Mohammed has described the NDC Manifesto launch at the Sunyani Coronation Park as a mere "funfair" to allow President John Dramani Mahama to showcase his dancing abilities.

According to him, the President attended the function just to prove to Ghanaians that he could dance and aside that, there was nothing significant about the party's Manifesto launch.

He told host Kwami Sefa Kayi that the National Democratic Congress seems to be in competition with the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the party which can make the most outrageous promise to Ghanaians.

And so, in his view, the NDC has adopted a culture to make promises for fun without any intention to actualize it.

“Now, there’s a serious competition between NPP and NDC over who can outdo the other in terms of promises. They’re in a very serious promise race. And I’m waiting to see even though NDC is in the lead but it appears the NPP is also doing well from behind,” he said.

To him, the NDC Manifesto is not concrete to earn the votes of Ghanaian in the December polls.

The Manifesto, he stated on Peace FM's 'kokrokoo', is just a "document that is not measurable. It’s a document that is meant to win more votes. It’s a document, content of which; NDC, themselves, have no intention of fulfilling.”

In this regard, Atik Mohammed minced no words as he labeled the party's Manifesto launch as "an opportunity to have a fun fair and for the President to show how he can dance. That is all I saw. Beyond that, I didn’t see anything that was materially different from what he did when presented the highlights.”
