BNI Treated Me With Respect Fadi Dabbousi

Fadi Dabbousi, a Ghanaian-Lebanese pilot, author of “59 Years Of Ghana To Nowhere; The Future Is Now” says even though the BNI 'abducted' him at the Kotoka International Airport on Friday, he was not manhandled.

According to him, "they treated me with respect, spoke to me well right after they abducted me...I was abducted and not arrested but they did not maltreat me. I am still handsome and everything is intact..."

Fadi, a known critic of President John Mahama and a supporter of the flagbearer of the main opposition New Patriotic Party, Nana Akufo-Addo was picked up on Friday, 23 September, 2016 at the Kotoka International Airport right after he landed in Ghana from Lebanon.

Speaking to Kwami Sefa Kayi in an interview on PEACE FM Monday, Fadi explained that he was picked up because of an article he wrote about President Mahama; which the BNI considered defamatory and false.

"I explained that I was just raising few questions...they were just my opinion but it was misconstrued and so I apologised..." he added.

Meanwhile, Fadi has been released and has been asked to report to the BNI office on Friday.
