'My Constituency Has Seen Phenomenal Development Under Mahama

The Deputy Attorney-General and Member of Parliament, MP for Bolgatanga East Constituency, Dr. Dominic Akurutinga Ayine, has said his constituency has witnessed a considerable development under the four-year tenure of office of President John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress, NDC.

"The government is borrowing to embark on national development. There is electricity supply all over the country, including my own constituency. The NPP  message is to fool Ghanaians to think that the e-block that His Excellency is building, the 123 that are under construction are liabilities to the people of this country, but it's not true", he said.

He said the developmental projects he lobbied for his constituency were positive developments that geared towards empowering the youth to become responsible people in the not-too-distant future.

According to Dr. Ayine, there had been phenomenal development in the areas of education and health, adding a library complex project was nearing completion to enable students at all levels get educational materials for research.

He said this at a campaign inauguration in Zuarungu of the Upper East Region.

Speaking at the campaign launch which attracted eminent NDC political gurus, including the Minister for Agriculture, Alhaji Mohammed Muniru Limuna, the Deputy Minister for Interior, James Agalga, among others, Dr. Ayine said he was desirous to precipitate the execution of development projects in the Bolga East Constituency, a move, he said, would support the people to lead meaningful lives.

For him, he believed he had done enough in terms of cushioning the livelihoods of the people in the constituency through some social interventions, adding "the renovation of the Zuarungu market has given a boon to market men and women".

Dr. Ayine, therefore, made a passionate appeal to the electorate to give him the nod in the impending December 7 general elections and vote massively for the NDC presidential nominee, Mr. Mahama so he would be returned to the Flagstaff house to continue his "unfinished project".

He used the platform to pledge his resolve for peace and challenged his 12-member campaign team not to orchestrate anything untoward that could inflame the political heat, stressing the need for his opponents to also endeavour to run a calm political campaign in the lead-up to the elections.

He also urged his colleague politicians to shun politics of insults and lies, but rather engage in politics of integrity, thereby, ensuring issues-based campaign.
