Some parliamentary aspirants from all the political parties together with some independent aspirants yesterday thronged the Electoral Commission’s (EC’s) office in Tema to file their nominations forms.

The first to go through the process of filing was the Greater Accra Regional Minister and Member of Parliament (MP) for Kpone Katamanso, Nii Laryeah Afotey Agbo.

After going through all the processes, he was cleared by the EC.

Speaking to the media after the filing, Mr. Afotey Agbo called on all the political players to do a clean campaign devoid of insults.

He however, stated that he will win the seat hands down.

MP for Tema Central, Hon. Kofi Brako, was represented by his constituency chairman who filed on behalf of his MP.

New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary aspirant for Tema West, Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah, personally filed his nomination forms.

Addressing a some party members after the filing process, he gave the assurance that issues between him and the incumbent MP have been resolved.

He, therefore, entreated Ghanaians to vote massively for Nana Addo to move Ghana forward.

NDC parliamentary aspirant for Tema Central, Ms. Ebi Bright, also filed.

Former MCE for Tema Metropolitan Assembly who is also contesting on NDC’s ticket for Tema East constituency also filed for his nomination.
