Ghana Cannot Qualify For World Cup Without Peace Of Mind - Avram Grant

Head coach Avram Grant reckons Ghana have a strong team but can only qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup finals if there is harmony among stakeholders.

The former Chelsea and West Ham United manager appears to be referring to the impasse between the Ghana Football Association and the Youth and Sports Ministry.

Ghana kicked off their campaign to reach a fourth successive World Cup appearance with a disappointing 0-0 draw with Uganda in Tamale.

The Stars next game against Egypt in Alexandria with the team needing nothing short of victory as a defeat will probably jeopardize chances of Avram Grant's men.

Grant is calling for peace from all quarters to help the Black Stars remain focused.

''This is not professional, This is not things we did before and we need to learn why we did well in Africa and continue with it,'' the Israeli said.

''We need everybody together, from the politician to everybody to girls, boys, everyone to help give the team peace of mind. We need to learn that if there’s no support, the team is not winning which I’m not happy for but this is the situation we find ourselves.

''Ghana has a strong team, we can win in Egypt, we can reach the World Cup but everybody need to be professional. If everybody will do his job, I can assure you that it will be good starting from the game against Egypt.

''We need to learn from our unprofessional preparations before Rwanda and Uganda and prevent a re-occurrence.

''Don’t put a finger and say this is your fault and my fault!, Everybody together, learn from the past, correct our mistakes and do well.''
