Gomoa Central MP Rachel Appoh Celebrates Birthday With Farmers

NDC Member of parliament for Gomoa Central in the Central Region, Hon. Rachel Nana Adwoa Appoh has donated items worth thousands of cedis to farmers in her constituency last Wednesday as part of her birthday celebration which fell on October 6.

She celebrated her birthday with 2000 farmers at Gomoa Abasa.

They received wellington boots, knapsack spraying machines, cutlasses, weedicides and cocoa spraying machines.

According to her, the donation was motivated by the hard work farmers in her constituency keep doing to ensure constituents and Ghanaians at large do not go hungry.

She said these items will motivate them to even work harder and also protect themselves and their crops to yield more as government seek to help farmers grow more and increase export to generate more income.

The District Director of Agric received the items on behalf of the Gomoa Central farmers.

Last year she donated items worth Ghc 50,000 from her MP’s Common Fund which included; 1,200 pieces of cutlasses, 100 pieces of knapsack spraying machines, 100 pairs of Wellington boots and 10 pieces of cocoa spraying machines.

Some of the beneficiaries were farmers in Gomoa Aboso, Ekroful, Benso, Akropong and Ekwamkrom.

She said since most of her constituents are farmers, she promises to support them every farming season.
