Stop Defecating In Classrooms

Headmaster of Gomoa Dominase Basic School and Junior High School (JHS) in the Central Region, Mr. Bin Amofa, has sounded a strong word of caution to residents in the area to stop the habit of attending to nature’s call in the classrooms of the school.

According to the headmaster, who was worried over the situation, the residents, particularly the youth, have made it their habits to attend to nature’s call during non-school hours.

The situation, he lamented, was affecting teaching and learning in the school.

He threatened to deal ruthlessly with anyone caught defecating in the school, and appealed to the Ghana Education Service (GES), chiefs and opinion leaders in the area to help avert the situation for the development of the school.

He appealed to GES and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) to help fence the wall of the school.

Mr. Amofa issued these warnings in an interview with Today after speaking at the school’s 70th anniversary celebration and first speech-and-prize giving day with the aim of building a science and computer laboratory.

He advised the parents to take good care of their wards during non-school days and see to it that their wards learn at home.

Mr. Amofa said for the past years the school has performed creditably well in the BECE and advised the pupils to take their education seriously.
