Abeka E.P. Church celebrates 12th Anniversary

The Abeka District of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church has embarked on child evangelism and Christian education to mould the character of the youth. This would enable them to grow to become good citizens and contribute to national development. Reverend Lordson Kodzo Dzakpazu, District Pastor, announced this at the 12th Anniversary celebration of the district on Sunday. It was under the theme; "Newness in Christ, His example and Selfless Services to Mankind". Rev. Dzakpasu said the annual celebration was to strengthen the already existing cordial relationship between the districts which comprised Abeka, Sowutuom, Lapaz and Chantan congregations. He said it was also to afford the members the opportunity to come together and know each other and champion a common goal. Rev. Dzakpasu said it also enabled the churches to take stock of the past year, discuss their shortcomings and intensify their efforts for development. He said the district would continue to raise funds to support the church's university project, which was started about three years ago. He advised drivers to desist from driving under the influence of alcohol in order to save lives and property as the celebrations of Christmas drew nearer. Rev. Stella Katso, Parish Pastor of the South La E.P. Church, advised Christians to open a new chapter by refraining from acts which hindered national growth and development.
