Ghana Drops One Place In FIFA Ranking

The Black Stars of Ghana have dropped one place to occupy the 54th place in the first Fifa ranking of the year.

Ghana, however, remain ninth best team in Africa in the latest ranking released on Thursday, 12 January 2017 with only 12 A matches played since the final ranking of 2016.

The Black Stars have not won in their last five competitive matches. The team is, however, camping in the United Arab Emirate (UAE) where they are preparing for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, which kick starts on Saturday January 14 at Gabon.

The top 3 positions remain unchanged with Argentina, Brazil and Germany still holding first, second and third places, respectively.

The next FIFA Coca-Cola World Ranking will be published on 9 February 2017.
