AFCON 2017: Baba Rahman Will Be Out For Seven Months Kwesi Nyantakyi

President of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi has disclosed that Baba Rahman who has been ruled out of the ongoing AFCON tournament will be sitting out for about seven months.

According to the GFA boss, Baba’s injury is a career threating one that can end his football talent but further checks reveal he will be back to play after the scheduled months.

“Baba Rahman’s injury is a career threating one and he could be out for the rest his career. He’s going to be out for about seven months. A dangerous one for that matter,” Nyantakyi said.

Baba injured himself in Ghana’s opener against the Cranes of Uganda and his place has since been taken by Anderlecht player, Franck Acheampong who will maintain that position in Wednesday’s final Group D match against Egypt in Port Gentil.

Ghana need a draw against the Pharaohs to finish as Group winners but defeat will see them emerge as runners-up.
