Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has ruled out returning to Barcelona. Latest reports in Spain claim long-term City target Leo Messi now wants Guardiola to return to the Nou Camp.
But the five-time Ballon d'Or winner will have to head to the Etihad if he wants to work with his one-time mentor again. Guardiola quit Barca in 2012 after winning 13 trophies - including two Champions League crowns.
He said: “No, I will never go back to Barcelona to be coach there.
“My period there is gone.
“I said many times about Messi, my desire is that he will finish his career at Barcelona."
