I Dont Know What Some People Expect From Akufo-Addos First SONA - Tema West MP

Member of Parliament [MP] for Tema West, Hon. Carlos Ahenkorah has responded to critics of the State of the Nation Address [SONA] delivered by President Akufo-Addo on Tuesday.

Most minority members of parliament have spoken strongly against Nana Addo’s SONA claiming his manner of description of the previous NDC government was not the best.

They argue he should have acknowledged works of former President John Dramani Mahama and also should not have said that he inherited a bad economy, as if the previous government did nothing good to be talked about.

According to him “I don’t know what some persons expect from President Akufo-Addo’s first SONA when his job was to just purely give an account on the state of the economy he inherited, of which to me he did rightly without any mistake.”

Speaking on UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ programme Wednesday, he stressed “the New Patriotic Party [NPP] under Nana Addo’s watch will fix the energy crisis and make it stable and reliable in a short term.”

“Members of the NDC should prove if they claim what the President read was not what they left the state with,” he told Yaa Konamah host of the show.
