Ridge Hosp. Denies Media Allegations

Management of the Greater Accra Regional Hospital, Ridge Hospital has denied media allegations that its Medical Director, Dr Thomas Anaba is under fire over the purchase of a brand new Land Cruiser Prado vehicle.

“We would like to make it clear that the vehicle was duly procured for official use of the hospital and not a personal property for the Medical Director. All the documents covering the purchase of the vehicle are available to all the relevant stakeholders so he cannot be under fire over that,” Eva Mam Atiboka, Public Relations Manager of the hospital told The New Crusading GUIDE in an interaction.

The media has been awash in recent times of allegations of some wrong doing at the hospital but the Medical Director said those making the allegations under the guise of “certain names have ill motive because all the allegations are unfounded. Indeed we consider the said petitioners as imposters since Ridge Hospital does not have such names on our Staff”.

He also denied allegations that he singlehandedly procured the services of some personnel saying that “all appointments made into the Ghana Health Services are the preserve of the Service and not any individual. All appointees go through employment and appointment procedures”

On whether he had diverted some hospital equipments as alleged, Dr. Anaba denied it flatly indicating that “procurement of the equipment were completed before I was engaged so how can I divert them. I am focused and Ridge Hospital would play its role as the Regional Hospital”.

He further stated that there was no auditing on-going as alleged and that he would welcome any such move “because I know I am clean”, he reiterated
