National Media Center’s Samuel Dowuona Attends Mobile World Congress 2017

The National Media Center is pleased that one of its Advisory Board member, Samuel Dowuona, represented Ghana’s Multimedia Group at the Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona, Spain. This is the biggest telecom/technology congress in the world.

Samuel Dowuona, a News Editor at Multimedia, and one of the founding Board Members of the National Media Center, is a passionate Telecom Journalist.

Mr. Dowuona reports of the flood of technologies at the congress; smart cities, smart homes, smart cars, smart vendors, and smart connected factories.

Sharing his experiences with the National Media Center, Mr. Dowuona was disappointed that Africa is lagging behind in the technology war, and narrates how Africa is struggling to spread 4G when the advanced countries are already preparing to deploy 5G capabilities.

He was however happy that there is already in existence good enough technology that could support the fight against corruption in Africa, if only ruling governments will have the courage to deploy them.

The National Media Center works with passionate people who yearn to see institutions and systems function properly. Our human resource includes people from diverse discipline and we work towards achieving a society of free, fair, just, informed and developed individuals and where governance institutions and their leaders are held accountable and responsible for their actions and inactions.
