Agbogbloshie Terror On Rampage

The Accra Regional police have launched a search for a suspected notorious criminal purportedly terrorizing the residents of Agbogbloshie and its environs.

The suspect, named only as Yakubu aka Bullet who is always said to be armed, allegedly led a gang of 10 to vandalize private property and butchered some of his victims with machete.

Other victims also received gunshot wounds from the suspect who is seen as a terror in the area.

The police claim that several attempts had been made to apprehend Yakubu and his cohorts after receiving several complainants from their victims.

On March 3, 2017, Yakubu, allegedly leading a gang of 10, purportedly attacked a drinking spot called Konkonsah to rob the merrymakers.

Some of the victims reportedly had their monies and phones collected and those who declined to surrender their items were butchered.

ASP Effia Tenge, the Accra Regional police spokeswoman, narrated to DAILY GUIDE that when police later visited the scene after the attack, they discovered several used bullets.

A warrant has been issued for his immediate arrest by an Accra circuit court.

She said credible information available to the police indicates that Yakubu is responsible for a number of violent activities recorded at Agbogbloshie recently.

According to ASP Tenge, Yakubu is fair in complexion, about 38 years old and stout in stature.

He is believed to have lost his right thumb and some fingers.

He is a native of Aboabo, a suburb of Tamale in the Northern Region.
