Ghanaians Urged To Eschew Partisan Politics

Apostle Dr Stephen Owusu Jackson, Chairman of the Christian Praise International Centre has called on Ghanaians to support the government to speed up national development.

He said there was the need for all political parties to come together and rally behind the government to ensure the development of the nation.

Apostle Jackson who made the call in an interview with the Ghana News Agency in Accra said ‘the pull him down attitude’ which had eaten into the fabric of the Ghanaian society would only retard development.

Apostle Jackson said national progress and development could be enhanced through unity, peace and hard work, adding that there was the need for all and sundry irrespective of party affiliation to rally behind the government.

The Chairman said partisan politics had to a large extent created enmity among the populace and drawn back Ghana’s development.

He said Ghana though blessed with abundant natural resources, remained under-developed due to partisan politics.
Apostle Jackson said with unity this year would be brighter and called on government to ignore detractors and focus on its developmental agenda.

He called for the support of the National Cathedral project which he said would help promote Christianity and advised the youth to desist from the ‘get-rich-quick attitude’ and focus on the word of God to enable them to achieve their future aspirations.

He described the recent spate of youth suicide as spiritual and called for constant prayers and urged parents to interact with their wards at all times.

Apostle Jackson said the church as part of its social responsibility had been supporting selected orphanages in the country and had also made donations to some selected hospitals and provided frequent free medical screening for some communities.
