A Package For SHS Continuing Students Will Soon Be Announced By Govt. – NPP MP

The Member of Parliament for Ablekuma Central, Hon. Emmmanuel Nartey, has affirmed that his government has a budget allocated for on-going Senior High School [SHS] students of which the Minister of Education will make known to the public soon.

“It can’t be that 2017/2018 group of Senior High students will be the only ones to benefit from the free SHS education leaving the rest to no avail,” he said.

Speaking on UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ political show, Hon Emmanuel Nartey stressed “as you all know our president is not the type who will not go by his words or practice an impartial form of government, it is just that the project is a type that needs proper assessment for its implementation and sustainability, therefore the little delay.”

Referring to issues of invincible and delta forces protesting against presidential appointments after the 2016 elections, Hon Nartey indicated that the right thing for them to do was to make their grievances known to the president and not for them to go assaulting government workers and seizing state properties.

“Indeed this state will be a lawless country if issues pertaining invincible forces right after change of government are not well addressed, as if they were the only ones who voted for the party to be in party, forgetting that after elections the state becomes one in political terms,” he lamented.
