The Goaso Divisional Police Command in Brong Ahafo has begun investigations to unravel the circumstances that led to the mysterious death of a final year student of Kukuom Agricultural Senior High School.
The almost decomposed body of Abdul Raheem Ali, the school's senior goal keeper, was found lifeless few distance from the girl's dormitory block of the school with a deep cut in the throat on Saturday, March 25.
The body has since been deposited at the Goaso Municipal Hospital for autopsy.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Ebo Asane, the Goaso Divisional Crime Officer, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the deceased left the school to town on Monday, March 20, but failed to return.
The school authorities became suspicious and subsequently reported the case to the Kukuom Police.
ASP Asane said the students organised a search party and later found the lifeless body lying prostrate with other sensitive parts removed.
