Use Easter To Soberly Reflect And Reconnect With God - Minister

Ghanaians have been urged to use the Easter celebration to soberly reflect and reconnect with God.

Mr. Simon Osei-Mensah, the Ashanti Regional Minister, said the period should also be used to renew their commitment to make sacrifices for the general good of the society.

In his Easter message to the people, he rallied everybody to be patriotic and accept to work together to bring progress.

He said it was important to be inspired by Jesus Christ’s crucifixion and resurrection – the humiliation he endured to rescue mankind from the claws of sin, to live in total peace and genuine reconciliation.

Mr. Osei-Mensah underlined the need for all to make sure that they did not over-indulge in the celebration of the occasion.
He called for motorists and other revelers to be more careful to avoid breaches of the law, telling them that, there could be no excuse for those who broke the law.

He added that the nation needed everybody alive because there was more work to be done – to fix and return the economy to the path of real growth.
