Mr Philip Kofi Ntiamoah, a retired Principal Auditor has appealed to the Public Accounts Committee of Parliament, to ensure that all public funds misappropriated were recovered.

    He said it would be prudent that supplementary budget was prepared in addition to the recoveries and made public as well.

     Mr Ntiamoah, who is a former Assemblyman for Bonsu in the Nkoranza South Municipality, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the PAC ought to also ensure that public officers who misappropriated or embezzled state funds were prosecuted.

      He observed that the general public would develop interest in the work of the PAC if the outcome of its audit reports were made available to the public.

     Mr Ntiamoah commended the PAC for its work, and was optimistic that recommended sanctions and prosecutions would be meted out to culprits.
