UK Visa Fraud: I Cursed My Daughter For Deceiving Me – Fmr. MP

The former Member of Parliament for Asunafo South Constituency, George Boakye, has said he invoked curses on her daughter to force her to return home after tricking him to overstay her visit to the UK.

George Boakye, and three current MPs have been cited by the UK authorities for alleged visa offences and are facing a 10-year visa ban by the UK government.

Mr. Boakye was faulted for using his diplomatic passport to aid his daughter into the UK.

His 43-year-old daughter, Joyce BOAKYE has been in the UK illegally for over three years, having traveled with her Honourable father on 17/01/2013.

Narrating his problems with the UK government over her daughter’s issue, Mr. George Boakye revealed that he was contacted by the Embassy in December 2016 in relation to the stay of his daughter in that country, but he pleaded with the UK Commission to give him sometime to deal with the December elections which he contested.

According to him, he finally established contact with his daughter just after the election, through the help of his daughter’s friend.

He said he instructed her to return to Ghana as he feared her daughter’s illegal stay in the UK could dent his image.

“After the elections, I intensified my search and I was able to get to one of her friends and I managed to get her address from her friend. I called her and she responded, so on the phone I even cursed her, and told her that if she did not come to Ghana, it will not auger well for her because it will dent my image in the country so she should come,” he told Accra-based Citi FM.
