Enchi Police Arrest Gold Robbers 

The Enchi Divisional Command of the Ghana Police Service has arrested four suspected armed robbers for allegedly robbing a gold dealer of gold and cash. 

 They are Abudu Bashiru, a galamsey operator, aged 34, Essuman Emmanuel, a 25-year old gold buyer, Kofi Combart, 35, and Sulley Bawah, 32 years.
ASP Olivia Adiku, the Western Regional Police Public Relations officer, told the GNA that on Tuesday at about 11:00 hours the complainants, Dennis Hillary and John Hoyeah, both 27 years and gold buyers of Tarkwa, who reside at Abokyia near Enchi reported to the police that they had hired Bashiru, a galamsey operator and an Okada rider to send them on his Haojin motorbike with registration No. M-5434-16, to go and buy Gold.
 According to her, Emmanuel, a Gold buyer who was also a friend to the complainants however conspired with Bashiru, Combart and Bawah to rob the complainants of their cash of GHC 14,660 and Gold valued at GHC 1,025.00.
ASP Adiku said upon the complaint, the Police managed to arrest Emmanuel and Bashiru on Wednesday dawn at Enchi whilst Combart who hails from Garu Timpani and Bawah, were arrested at separate locations at Bawah Farms Cottage near Kwahu.
 She said the Police were able to retrieve two pump action guns, 33 pieces of Live AA and BB cartridges, one double barrelled locally made Pistol and one SB Baikal Shot Gun, Gold valued at GHC1,025.00 as well as a cash of GHC 14,660.00.
According to the PRO, all the four suspected armed robbers were currently in Police custody at Enchi pending thorough investigations.
