The Oyarifa Police in the Ga West Municipality of the Greater Accra Region are on the heels of a notorious trouble maker at Gbese in Ga Mashie, in Accra, Nii Ayi Bruno for threatening to kill three high personalities in the country.

The search by the police, The New Crusading Guide gathered follows an official report President of the Gadangme Concerned Youth Association, Nii Ayaafio Tetteh I lodged with the Oyarifa Police Station in Accra on Friday May 12, 2017, where he alleged that Nii Ayi Bruno threatened to “kill him together with former Mayor of Accra, Nii Adjiri Blankson and President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo”.

Nii Ayaafio Tetteh I, police sources disclosed in his statement of claims to Oyarifa Police Station stated that Nii Ayi Bruno called him via telephone on Friday May 12 2017, and threatened that he and one Ampem, a notorious land guard from Adjei Kotoku will kill them.

According to our sources, Nii Ayaafio Tetteh I further noted that Nii Nii Ayi Bruno told him that “they wanted to shoot President Akuffo Addo to death when he came to James town to celebrate the durbar with the chiefs and people of Ngleshie Alata Traditional Council of the Ga State.”

The worrying development, according to sources has informed the decision of Nii Ayaafio Tetteh I to lodge a formal complaint with the police to arrest and prosecute Nii Ayi Bruno.

A police investigator with the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Oyarifa Police Station who pleaded condition of anonymity in an interview with Today on Wednesday May 17, 2017 confirmed that a complaint had been brought against Nii Ayi Bruno. 

 According to the senior police officer, the police were seriously looking for Nii Ayi Bruno who is currently at large but the officer declined to comment further on the matter.

However, our scouts at Oyarifa Police Station have revealed that Nii Ayi Bruno has failed to honour the invitation of the police for questioning and subsequently vanished into thin air.

Narrating his ordeal to journalists at Madina Abokobi in Accra yesterday, the obviously worried Nii Ayaaafio disclosed that Nii Ayi Bruno called him somewhere 12:20 pm on Tuesday May 15, 2017 through Tigo telephone number 0276033706 and threatened to kill him, Mr. Blankson and President Akufo-Addo.

He disclosed that he has since then the threat been living in fear and called on the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to give him police protection.

 Nii Ayaafio Tetteh I revealed that he had to abandon his house and seek refuge with his relatives for fear of being killed by Nii Ayi Bruno and his cohorts.

 According to him, Nii Ayi Bruno claimed that the attack on his life was as a result of using the Gadangme platform to campaign for Mr. Akufo-Addo to win the 2016 general elections.

“We planning to kill you because you are talking about Gbese issue on Facebook and on other social media and. And also you have been talking to his fiancée by name Nana Aba from Adabraka and if l did not stop, he will slap my wife as he did same to the Minister of Communications, Mrs. Ursula Owusu Ekufful during the 2012 general election," Nii Ayaafio Tetteh I quoted Nii Ayi Bruno.

Nii Ayaafio Tetteh spoke widely about how Nii Ayi Bruno told in him via telephone to shoot President Akuffo Addo to death when he came to James.

Nii Ayi Bruno, he said boasted in his threat message that "we have no single respect for President Akuffo Addo and that he is nobody at all to us."

Nii Ayi Bruno, according to Nii Ayaafio Tetteh, asked him to pass the threat message on to president Akufo-Addo and Adjiri Blankson to stay away from Gbese chieftaincy issues.

You (referring to Nii Ayaafio Tetteh) I bribed your driver, Mr. Nii Bafana to use your personal phone number to send abuse and threat messages to the former President of National House of Chiefs, Naa Prof. John Nabila just to soil the personal between you and Prof. Nabila."

This with reason he (Nii Ayi Bruno) knows that "I and Prof. Nabila are closely working to stand against his Chief that was why he want to create problem between us."

Nii Ayi Bruno also claimed to have butchered the Korle Wulomo, Nuumo Okai I and Bar Nuumo Larkotey Aduawushie with severely wounds in their houses in Accra.

After the threat, according to Nii Ayaafio Tetteh I, he called a legal practitionerNiibi Ayi-Bonte and reported the issue of death threat to him and president Akufo-Addo and Adjiri Blankson.

The assertion that Niibi Ayi-Bonte has confirmed to Today in an interview yesterday in Accra when this report called his via telephone to authenticate the matter.  

However, attempts by Today to get Nii Ayi Bruno to response to the allegations levelled against him by Nii Ayaafio Tetteh I proved futile as calls and text messages placed on his 0276033706 went unanswered.
