Criminals On Motor Bikes Robbing Unsuspecting Victims At Gun Point

The Accra Regional Command of the Ghana Police Service has expressed concerns about the rising cases of criminals on motor bikes robbing unsuspecting victims at gun point.

In a release on Wednesday, May 24, the Command drew attention of the public to such incidences, saying they “have observed that these criminals, who are usually two on a motorbike, closely monitor their targets (especially those returning from banks and financial facilities) from a distance, attack and rob them of their valuables amidst firing”. The Command, therefore, asked the public to be extra vigilant of motor riders, who hover around banking areas, and those who loiter, trail and park loosely around.

The release signed by ASP Effia Tenge, the Regional Public Relations Officer, assured the public of continuous patrol and combat of such criminal activities within Accra by the police.
