Ashanti Regional chairman of the NPP, Bernard Antwi Bosiako, popularly called Chairman Wontumi has began a tour to all the 47 constituencies in the region.

The tour is aimed at meeting with the constituency executives as well as the various MMDCEs who have been sworn in by the Regional Minister.

The tour assigned to him by President Nana Akufo-Addo and the Acting National Chairman Freddy Blay, is to show appreciation to the constituency party executives and to those at the grassroots levels who worked tirelessly to secure votes which brought victory to the party and the country at large.

Letter from and signed by President Akufo-Addo and Freddy Blay were handed over to the various constituency executives.

"President is saying that just some few months ago, he was not a President, and it is the hardwork of you on the ground that has made him now the Commander In-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces. President Akufo-Addo, has seen your commitment to the party and he has signed these letters to be given to you to show how grateful he is to you all. You have received these letters and the President also want you to spread the thanksgiving message from constituencies to electoral areas through to small villages and towns," the Regional Chairman explained.

Speaking to party faithfuls at the various constituencies, Chairman Wontumi was hopeful the youth will start enjoying the dividends for voting massively to return the NPP to power.

Chairman Wuntumi is optimistic about the future of the country under the leadership of President Akufo-Addo adding that "Ghana is on its way to become the food basket of West Africa and its environs with the kind of practical policies being put in place by the president in the past five months."

According to him, the government's flagship programme "Planting for Food and Jobs" aims to revive the agriculture sector to provide food security in the country.

Chairman Wontumi has therefore urged Municipal and District Chief Executives to promote the policy he described as "the Saviour" and the upcoming Youth Employment Authority apprenticeship programme under the Ministry of Sports to engage the youth to learn trade.

He further said that the President is particular about the unemployed youth in the country, hence the intervention through the Agriculture and the Sports Ministries.

He advised the youth not to find agriculture or trade a punishment, adding that learning trade does not make you an illiterate.

"The NPP government has heard the cries of our energetic youth that is why Nana Addo has brought on board these best polices; Planting for Food and Jobs and the Youth Employment Authority apprenticeship programmes. I know that with Planting for Food and Jobs, our country will create more job opportunities. On the other hand, Ghana will soon be the supplier of food to near by countries and for that matter, the food warehouse of West Africa. Lets help President Akufo-Addo for Ghana to achieve this.

"Together with the President, our National Chairman, Freddy Blay, and all the national executives we are saying thank you, this is not the first time we'll continue to work till Ghana is better. I'm urging all party faithfuls to intensify their support not only for the party but for Ghana," Chairman Wuntumi noted.
