Seven Months In Office, Hon. Afoley's Impact On Krowor

When leaders are given offices to occupy and provide the needed leadership for their constituents, it is expected of them to account for what they have achieved within a specified period of time. It is in the light of this, that the office of the Member of Parliament of Fisheries & Aquaculture madam Elizabeth Naa Afoley Quaye brings to the knowledge of all constituents what progress she has been made in Krowor so far.

There have been various programmes, skill training and modules organised by the Minister for the constituents which includes Fashion and design, Beauty therapy (manicure and pedicure), Forklift and bull- dozer operators, Mushroom production and Bee keeping in Adidome Farm Institute which has seen a tremendous changed in the life of the youth and the people. The programmes were organised the poeple of Krowor to help beneficiaries, start their own businesses.

Hon. Elizabeth Afoley Quaye has also awarded scholarship to students to pursue masters programmes abroad. Under this initiative, school fees has also been paid for students in the tertiary schools and other level of their educational carriers.

The "mother for all" as affectionately called by constituents, has also lobbied employment for all types of profession in the constituency. The process is still ongoing to ensure constituents get
jobs.

Dredging of major drains has also been done at the early part of the rainy season. Drains have been cleared of debris to aid the free flow of water into the sea during heavy down pour to avoid flooding in the constituency.

There is also an ongoing " FREE PRE- S.H.S CLASSES" for graduants of J. H. S. This has seen massive resources investment as books and pens have been given to students numbering 813 Pupils. Teachers have also received logistics to aid teaching and learning. The cost of teaching is also part of the Hon. Minister's initiative.

Massive replacement of faulty street lights is also ongoing. Nungua market, Nungua Township and other areas have seen this development. Areas that never had street light will also get this benefit for the first time.

There have also been health screening and deworming exercises at Nungua Traditional Authority to meet the health needs of the people. Some constituents have also received training in tilapia breeding, shrimps production, seed production, fish management policy and administration abroad.

The MP has also built fish processing centre at Nungua Nshorna. It will be completed soon to start operation which will skill to beneficiaries on fish processing in the constituency.
