Ernest Chemist offers free medical care

Mr Mark Bekoe, Medical Representative of Medriech United Kingdom, has called on Ghanaians to go for regular medical check-ups to enable them stay healthy. He said regular check-ups enable medical practitioners to offer the necessary advice on the health status of their clients. Mr Bekoe made the call at the end of a two-day free medical care and screening exercise for about 1,000 people mostly market women at Dome in Accra. The exercise, which was organised by Ernest Chemist Limited in collaboration with Medriech U.K. and Ga East Municipal Health Directorate, was aimed at offering the community free medical care and also educating them on the need to protect their liver. The people were also educated on family planning, diabetes and offered voluntary HIV test. Mr Bekoe said the exercise would be extended to Madina, Kaneshie, Mallam Atta and Agbobloshie Markets, all in the Greater Accra Region. Dr Doris Arhin, Ga East Municipal Health Director asked market women to devote their time for their health. She advised them to desist from lifting heavy loads to prolong their life span. The occasion was used to introduce Hepavita Forte, a liver protector and a multi-vitamin unto the Ghanaian market.
