We Never Expected To Lose 2016 Election – Allotey Jacobs

The Central Regional Chairman has likened the loss of the National Democratic Congress in the 2016 elections to a rapture.

According to Mr. Allotey Jacobs, the defeat came to them as a shock as they least expected to go into opposition.

He stated that following the massive infrastructure projects executed by former president Mahama he was clear in mind that the NDC has won the election.

“2016 election defeat was a sad day for the NDC; it was very difficult for me when at 2: am I realized I had lost 16 seats in the Central region. It was very pathetic” he bemoaned.

The NDC leader in the Central Region, however stated that losing an election is part of the political game as such the party is reorganising to win the 2020 election.

“NPP had a similar experience in 2000 as it is part of politics but the magnitude of the defeat in 2016 was massive” he added.

“Had I known is always at last; we have learnt our lessons and we are working hard to win election 2020” he noted.
