The Ghana Standard Authority has issued a stern warning to those who will sell fake products to Ghanaians during this festive season .

The authority will now deal with counterfeiters who disguise their products for quick sales purposes.

This threat follows the emergence of a video showing a different energy drink that has been branded into blue jeans energy drink .

The Director of the Ghana Standard Authority Professor Alex Dodoo, in an interview revealed that he will not allow such actions to just slide.

He said ‘’The issue is every drink coming into Ghana has a particular standard that must be maintained so if you export a drink into Ghana and you rebrand it into something else you are breaking the law ‘’

He added ‘’If it comes to our notice we will take action in matter of days and not weeks Ghanaian consumers must not be taken for granted.’’
