Vice President John Mahama would on Wednesday, December 9, cut the sod for official work to start on the 13.9 million euro Community infrastructure upgrading and the Aboabo-Sissai storm drainage improvement works in Kumasi.
The French Government through the L' Agence Francaise du Development (AFD) is providing the funding.
This was contained in a press statement issued and signed by Mrs. Jemima Nancy Asare, Public Relations Officer of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA).
Four communities; Anloga, Asokwa, Ahinsan and Atonsu would benefit.
The works include lining of a 3.8 kilometre section of the Aboabo-Sissai drain, construction of 13 kilometres of roads, installation of 12.5 kilometres water supply, street/security lights and public toilets.
This would take 24 months to complete, the statement added.
