CJ Swears In Governing Council Of IRMPG

Chief Justice (CJ), Justice Sophia Akuffo, has sworn in a 13- Member Governing Council of the Institute of Risk Management Professionals Ghana (IRMPG) in Accra.

The event, which took place yesterday in Accra at the CJ’s Conference Room, saw members of the Council take the Oath of Office and Allegiance.

Justice Akuffo admonished members of the governing council to maintain high professional standards.

“I’m very interested in good professional practices and I am hopeful that you will exhibit same in the discharge of your duties,” she urged.

Speaking in an interview with Today shortly after the swearing in ceremony, President of the Institute and Chairman of the Governing Council, Mr Joseph Kusi-Tieku, explained that the establishment of the institute is to help train people from all spheres on the impact and management of risks associated with their businesses.

He, therefore, urged the working public, business owners as well as students to register with the institute.

The membership categories, he disclosed, are fellow, full, associate, graduate and student memberships.

He used the occasion to confer honorary membership on the CJ.

Members of the governing council are: Joseph Kusi-Tieku, Kingsley Ditsa, Madam Abena Pokuaa Ackah, Kofi Yankah, Adam Sulley, Jerry Anang, and Seth Aryitey.

The rest are Dr George Gyamfi-Osew, Emmanuel Mensah-Appaih, Emmanuel Twum-Obeng, Simon Badzi, Dr Abiba Zakariah, Kofi Dua Addonteng, Dr Isaac Baidoo, and Dr Olivia Anku-Tsede.
