Ghana Representatives In Libya Not Been Fair To Us - Detainees

News reaching Peacefmonline.com indicates that Ghana embassy representatives in Libya have refused to rescue Ghanaians who are detained in prison in Libya.

According to one of the prisoners, they have been in prison for the past four months awaiting the intervention of officials from the Ghana Embassy, which the embassy representatives have refused to come to their aid.

He also said they locked them in chains after work and called out some energetic prisoners there who held their hands and bodies while the prison wardens hit their legs with fat canes until they could not walk.

He again said that there are many Ghanaians still in captivity who want to be set free and come home, but the embassy representatives over there are not making any effort to help the situation.

He further appealed to the Government of Ghana to intensify the search for Ghanaian illegal migrants and help bring them back home.
