The National Union of Ghana Students will in the next few days deploy over 400 health students across the country to fight the deadly meningitis in the various Senior High Schools.

According to a statement released by the student body, the deployment will cover both affected schools and schools yet to record any outbreak.

According to NUGS, it’s decision to deploy students from its health bloc, National Health Students Association of Ghana, is to complement the effort of government to fight the never ending diseases across the various high schools in the country.

‘’ The National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) through it health bloc, National Health Students Association of Ghana is to deploy 480 health graduates and student volunteers across the country following the widespread of swine flu and meningitis is some SHS. this part to complement measures by the sector ministries.

The first batch of the medical volunteer students will be dispatched on Wednesday, December 20.
