A 48-year-old doctor have been arrested for killing a pregnant women in Assin Fosu in the central region during the process of terminating her pregnancy.

Kwasi Darkoh, who is believed to be a quake doctor has so far killed several women through illegal abortions.

According to the Assin Fosu Divisional Crime Officer, DSP Daniel Darteh, the 48-year fake doctor, nearly killed a 20-year old girl (name withheld) after going through several illegal abortions by the suspect.

“The suspect, popularly known as teacher applied oil on the vagina of the victim, covered his hands with gloves and dipped his hand into the womb and started pulling the fetus out.”

DSP Darteh added that, “the victim started bleeding after the incident and was rushed to the St. Francis Xavier Hospital in Assin Fosu.”

Meanwhile, the suspect who pleaded guilty for killing several innocent babies in the Assin Fosu communities has been remained in police custody for further investigations.
