The deputy National Youth Organizer, Dominic Kwesi Eduah, has made a passionate call to the party to pay a special attention to the many activists of the party who sustained various degrees of injuries in the journey to the polls and during elections 2016.

Mr. Eduah said that during the elections, he worked with many groups and in the process; some injuries and losses were sustained and suffered by some party activist.

He knew some and personally supported then through the difficult times. However, upon touching base with the rank and file of the party, he says, he was shocked at the severity of some of the injuries and the extent of some of the losses suffered by many party activists and loyalists.

He says that some of the things he witnessed brought him to near tears.

Working at the grassroots

It has been said that during the elections which brought the New Patriotic Party to power, Mr. Eduah worked predominantly with the grassroots of the party at the very local level. He led a number of volunteer groups in various elections operations before and during the elections, especially in the settler communities, zongos and the students’ front.

Not just that, but there were also many rural communities where Dominic Eduah worked due to he being a polyglot. The many languages that he speaks were very useful.

Touching Base with the Faithful

Shortly after the elections, Dominic Eduah has taken time off to visit and interact with most of the activists he works with and beyond. He had been in touch with most of them but consistent with his humble and modest nature, he felt the need to go round and visit them. It was during this tour that he unearth and came to terms with the full extent of the damage suffered by many of our party faithful.

Call for Support

After going round to visit these party members, he decided to do something beyond his personal support for them. It is in that light that he is making a call to the rank and file of the party to set a special emergency fund to take care of such people. The damages and loss suffered in defense of our party, he believes, should not be ignored and the sacrifice of these patriots should not go unrewarded.

Mr. Dominic Eduah is a lead aspirant for the position of National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party and he has two other contenders.
