A retired priest who married a male model more than 50 years younger than him to make a stance against the church has split with his partner after just five months.

Philip Clements, 79, said he felt bored, miserable and lonely when his husband would go out partying with his younger friends.


After the relationship went downhill, Mr Clements said he was left homeless before friends came to the rescue, Kent Live reports.

Mr Clements, who was once a parish priest in Eastry, near Sandwich, wed Florin Marin, 24, at a low-key ceremony in Ramsgate in April aged 78.
