NPP Could Have Done Better… – Amissah Arthur Breaks Silence

Former Vice President, Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur has criticized the NPP administration for the way they are managing the economy.

He stated that in his assessment of the NPP government, they could have done much better in one year and that is what as Ghanaians we are all hoping for in the coming years for them to be able to resolve the problems.

The former Vice president made the statement in Ho on 25th December, 2017 when he spoke to the media after a visit on Christmas day to make some donations to children on admission at the Ho Regional and Municipal \Hospitals with his wife, Matilda Amissah–Arthur.

Mr Amissah Arthur said that most of the programs that have been adopted and implemented by the NPP government are without the full conceptualization of the appreciation of the cost involved.

Citing the implementation of the free SHS policy, he said more consultations with people who have expertise and more definition of exactly what it is that they want to do should have been consulted.

The former Vice president also called for some clarity on the things they (NPP) want to achieve; since the way it’s being done, it is a little haphazard and it doesn’t help.

He further stated that since every parent want to provide the best education for their children, it is important for the right thing to be done.

The couple were accompanied by the NDC MP for the Area Benjamin Kpodo. They went round the various wards to interact with the patients on admission and to wish them well.

They presented assorted gifts such as fruits, drinks, biscuits and bags of rice to the children and staff of the hospital.
