James Kwabena Bomfeh has sent a stern warning to the Lebanese community in Ghana to stop disrespecting Ghanaians.
Speaking on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo', James Kwabena Bomfeh, affectionately called Kabila, told host Nana Yaw Kesseh that it is about time Ghanaians stood up to inhumane and insolent behaviour of some Lebanese in the country.
Narrating an experience he had with a Lebanese days ago, Kabila recounted that he had gone to a pharmaceutical shop where he pounced on the latter tearing Ghana's currency note into pieces.
He said the Lebanese man who had equally come to the shop to buy a drug received a currency note as change but tore the note into pieces for being dirty and asked the shop attendant to throw it into the trash can.
According to Kabila, though he couldn't see the exact moment the Lebanese tore the money apart, he lambasted him for destroying Ghana's legal tender.
Due to the impudence of the Lebanese, Kabila has cautioned the foreign community to know where they are and so called on their leadership to "talk to your citizens in Ghana. They cannot disrespect us and take us for granted. If some people allowed them to get away with nonsense, some of us will not. And at any point, at any time, on any occasion; we will stand up to defend the sovereignty of this country. So, help us God!”
