NSS Starts Bottled Water Production

The National Service Secretariat (NSS) will in the next two years introduce an ultra-modern water bottling plant in the country.

The project forms part of the innovations being made by the current leadership of the NSS to make the institution productive.

Henry Nana Boakye, the Deputy Executive Director of the NSS, who made the announcement, said the NSS wants to be more useful.

Affectionately called ‘Nana B’, the NSS capo said plans are in the pipeline to make the water bottling plant project a reality.

“The water bottling plant will be ready in two years time and I think it can even qualify to be part of the One District, One Factory project”.

Nana B said on Ashh FM that the water bottling plant, when it comes into reality, would help boost the economy and provide jobs for the youth.

He stated that the NSS has been performing excellently in the agriculture sector already, adding that their efforts had boosted food production and security.

“The NSS is already working excellently in the agriculture sector. The NSS is even considered as the eleventh region by the Ministry of Agriculture”.

Nana B noted that the current NSS leadership will continue to be dynamic by coming out with several new policies and programmes to boost the economy.

He stated that the days when the NSS was seen as dormant, especially regarding their contribution towards national growth, now belongs to history.
