Could Martin Amidu Have Been Wrong On This One Too? - The Insight

No matter what you think of the performance of Mr. Martin Amidu when he appeared before the Appointments Committee of Parliament, he was right on one thing.

He said the difference between the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is getting blurred with each passing day.

He got it right when he proclaimed that very soon many people will not be able to tell the difference between the two leading political parties in Ghana.

As a fact, the NDC and the NPP do the same things when in opposition and offer the same solutions when in government.

All of them accept the prescriptions of the international Monetary Fund for so-called economic recovery without question.

They will all increase utility tariffs and hike petroleum prices.

The NDC and the NPP have all refused to challenge the control of Ghanaian national resources by multi-national corporations.
