King Promise sets record… attends event in his honour after it ended

Ghanaian artiste, King Promise has set a new record in the Ghanaian music industry – attending an event in honour after it ended.

It was billed as the unveiling of the Magazine cover of the ‘New King of Afro-Pop‘ by Event Guide Magazine for their special February edition on Saturday, February 24, 2018.

The event was scheduled to start at 8pm and end at 12 midnight at the Champs Bar and Grill at Paloma, Ring Road, Accra. The time was extended because he didn’t make it to the venue on time.

Promise got to the venue on Sunday at 2:30am after guests including Reggie Rockstone and Panji Anoff had left, and organizers were about locking the gate to the venue.

He told Hitz FM reporter, Noella Kharyne Yalley “we had to rush here but unfortunately time was far gone” without specifying why he didn’t make it on time.

In November 2017, a concert headlined by Promise at the Pergola Hotel, East Legon started five hours after the advertised time.
