Klo-Agogo SHS Wins GH@61 Indece Day Quiz...Despite Sharing Dining Hall With Goats

The Klo –Agogo Senior High School (SHS) in the Yilo Krobo District of the Eastern Region has outclassed two other schools including West Africa Senior High School (SHS) to win the Ghana @61 Independence Day ‘What Do You Know’ contest.

The school, despite being frustrated with infrastructure challenges, defied all the odds including having to share dining hall with goats and other creatures to still show their prowess by competing with top class schools in the country.

Represented by Faiza Seidu and Rachel Ofosua Asare, form three and two General Arts students respectively, the school obtained a score of 35 against West Africa SHS and Linkpe SHS, who placed second and third with a score of 23 and 20 respectively.

The Independence Day quiz competition moderated by Quiz Master Dan Afari Yeboah was on the theme, ‘Putting Ghana beyond aid.’

They were deservedly rewarded with a cash amount of GH¢ 1,000.00 and a certificate for the school.

Mr John Mensah Dzokoto, the headmaster of the school in an interview with the DAILY HERITAGE expressed gratitude to the Almighty God, the students and the entire staff for their sterling performance.

Students share Dining Hall with goats

It would be recalled that on Monday, February 12, 2018, the daily heritage carried a story with the caption ‘NASTY: STUDENTS SHARE DINING HALL WITH GOATS AT KLO-AGOGO SHS’ which highlighted the challenges of the school including sharing the dining hall with animals.

The headmaster of the school, Mr John Mensah Dzokoto described the plight of the school as “pathetic” which required urgent attention.
