Randy Abbey Exposes Nyantakyi In Latest Interview

Former spokesperson for the Ghana Football Association, Randy Abbey has disclosed that his former boss Kwesi Nyantakyi, has become an ‘Emperor General’ to himself who has hijacked the football association.

Mr Abbey, a former member of the Executive Committee, has been relentless in getting the FA boss booted out of office after 13 years.

The ‘power-play’ for the top job of the FA is said to have reached its climax after the GFA fired the vice president, George Afriyie as its vice-president.

However, some reports state that Mr Afriyie is enjoying ringing endorsement from some of the former members of the Executive Committee.

Mr Nyantakyi had declared on three occasions that he was not going to seek re-election but it appears he will make U-turn due to incessant pressure from the ruling government and other stakeholders of the game.

The heat has been turned on Mr Nyantakyi not to seek re-election over claims he has collapsed Ghana football.

But speaking on Accra-based Asempa FM, Randy Abbey disclosed that his former boss, has built an empire around himself, making him untouchable.

“The first time he changed the law made him, ‘Emperor General’. He has the exclusive right to choose who becomes his vice and he chose him [George Afriyie],” he said.

”He [Nyantakyi] makes the decisions and no one challenges him. He has become the Emperor General but we need a new face to take Ghana football to another level,” Randy Abbey added.
