No Government Can Solve Unemployment Menace Unless . . . - NPP Communicator

Deputy Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kofi Ameyaw has said it will be a waste of time if a government feels it can solve the issue of unemployment without restructuring the system first.

According to him, he is sad that members of the largest opposition party have read meanings into governments Nation Builders Corps (NaBCo) proposal, claiming it cannot serve the purpose it is hoped for, when the process has not yet started.

He said he now perfectly understand why former President John Mahama failed in delivering his task during his tenure of office.

He added it is not because he didn’t have good intentions or love for the nation, but rather it is the fault of some Ghanaian workers and the caliber of individuals he appointed to work under his administration.

Kofi Ameyaw indicated that until employees’ attitude to work in our part of the world changes, we will not experience development no matter how hard a government strives.

“It does not matter how aggressive a particular administration will work or the amount of developmental projects it will embark on, the nations productivity strongly depends on the work done, specifically employees attitude towards work”, he said.

Explaining further, he cited that his government’s reason of building a huge size of government is to do things differently compared to previous governments and not relying so much on the public and civil servants.

Speaking on Kasapa FM’s political discussion, the NPP US branch member noted “any government who will heavily depend on Ghanaian workers without initially reforming them will not succeed”.
