Sammy Gyamfi, member of the NDC Communications team, says the President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Kwesi Nyantakyi is a major financier of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

He disclosed this during a panel discussion on Anas Aremeyaw Anas undercover investigation on the rot in Ghana's football dubbed "Number 12".

The latest investigative piece from the Anas-led “Tiger Eye PI” team is expected to be premiered on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 in the country.

Kwesi Nyantakyi was reportedly caught on the investigative video using the names of the President and the Vice President to transact a shady business.

He has since been invited by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for interrogation and assist in investigations.

Addressing the issue on Peace FM's Kokrokoo, Sammy Gyamfi wondered the outcome of the investigations.

This is because, he believes, Kwesi Nyantakyi is in bed with the NPP.

He stated that Mr. Nyantakyi is a well-known sympathizer of the NPP and invested huge money to support the party.

“In the 2016 election, Kwesi Nyantakyi gave the NPP huge money…The NPP cannot deceive us as if Kwesi Nyantakyi is a stranger and ordinary man…” he said.
