Ahead of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Conference, a group calling itself Concerned delegates for change, claim to have picked up intelligence about a grand plan to disqualify Mr. Richard Ahiagbah, an aspirant for the position of NPP General Secretary despite sailing through vetting and occupies number two on the ballot.

"We wish to advice the individual or individuals involved in this undemocratic conduct to tarnish the established democractic values of the NPP to stop it now before it is too. As proud members of this tradition, we are determined to preserve and promote democracy and competition in the NPP, as we have always done, and are known for as a party", the group stated in their press release.

The group added that their attention has been drawn to the individuals behind the preposterous attempt to choke competition in the NPP, urging those people to understand that the party, NPP is bigger than their ambition to lead.

"In other words we the grassroots activists of the party will not sit by, while they undermine our party to serve their selfish interests", they stated.

"We wish to urge Mr. Richard Ahiagbah, candidate for the General Secretary position of the NPP to stay focused on his campaign while we fight the undemocratic plots from designed to thwart his ambition to bring about change for the grassroots".

"Finally, the plotters of the mischief must understand that their machinations will not work, not now, not ever because they will be resisted forcefully at every turn, in order for the NPP to stay true to its established democratic credentials".
