Serving The Grassroots Is Direct Investment - General Secretary Aspirant

General Secretary aspirant of the New Patriotic party, Richard Ahiagbah has showered praises on the Elections Committee of his party for the vetting, which was ably chaired by the Most Reverend Asante Antwi.

He again said his encounter with the Elections Committee was a spirited interaction which gave him opportunity to outline some of the struggles of the grassroots under what he described as "current exclusive regime" being supervised by his opponent, John Boadu.

Richard Ahiagbah averred that by broadly excluding the grassroots, one risks shrinking the party's support base and its foundation; thus, affecting the number of votes of the party.

He promised to be "an inclusive General Secretary, one who will rise above self, to diligently serve the grassroots so that, the grassroots could intend serve the party and the government of H. E Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo".

Richard Ahiagbah maintained that serving the grassroots is direct investment for the NPP's readiness for election 2020; reiterating that "reciprocity is the most practical strategy in managing the ambitions of a people".

He said the focus on just selected few at the top, alienates the grassroots, shrinks the party, and immobilizes the grassroots spirit of sacrifice.

The aspirant assured the inevitable change which is coming in the office of the NPP's General Secretary as the grassroots are yearning for a change which bothers on inclusion; adding that he has the will of the grassroots to bring about hope and renewal.

The aspirant assured that his administration will inspire the grassroots to dream and believe that their sacrificing for the NPP will be recognized whereas their interest being championed.
