IT WAS a rousing welcome for aspiring General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu, as he arrived in the Eastern Region on the final leg of his 10-region campaign tour.
Mr. Boadu, an astute politician, has already been to the Northern, Upper East, Upper West, Volta, Ashanti, Western, Central, Brong Ahafo, Greater Accra Regions, where he has interacted with NPP delegates and pointed out clearly that his agenda for contesting the position is to help strengthen the party at all levels, especially the grassroots for victory 2020 and beyond.
Having arrived at Nsawam, the aspiring General Secretary was welcomed by hundreds of enthusiastic party supporters and executives.
The supporters, donned in Mr. Boadu’s branded t-shirts, were led by the Eastern Regional NPP Organizer, Kwame Appiah Kodua, amidst motorbike displays, pomp and pageantry in a manner that set the entire Nsawam town ablaze.
On the first day of his tour in the region, which is to play host to July 7, 2018 NPP’s National Delegates Conference, Mr. Boadu interacted with delegates comprising, metropolitan, municipal and district chief executives (MMDCEs) and constituency executives of Nsawam Adoagyire, Upper West Akyem, Ayensuano, Lower West Akyem, Akwatia, Kade, AMA, Achiasa, Akim Suwedru, Oda and Ofoase-Ayirebi constituencies.
He continued the tour on Tuesday, June 26, where he visited various constituencies in the Anyinam, Bunsu and Nkawkaw zones.
