NPP Is Losing The Fight Against Corruption - Maurice Ampaw

Controversial lawyer, Maurice Ampaw, has challenged President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to act appropriately on corruption issues leveled against some of his appointees to show his seriousness in the fight against graft.

According to him, the Nana Addo-led government whose foremost campaign promise was to fight corruption is failing to either curb or eradicate the canker.

NPP is losing the fight against corruption. I must be frank with the president. He must act appropriately,” he said.

Speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’, Maurice Ampaw, wondered why some key members of the Akufo Addo’s government are up in arms against the exposé by investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas to fight corruption.

They [NPP] have the power now so they don’t support exposés. It is surprising to hear and know that majority of those attacking Anas are all NPP members. The likes of Kennedy, Rev Owusu Bempah and Wontumi who are attacking Anas are all close to the president,” he said.

Adding that, “They [NPP] are afraid that Anas will expose the rot in their government. These are the people who praised Anas as an Angel for exposing corrupt judges during Mahama’s era”.
